The short version: Deepflow does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Your focus history, tags, streaks, goals, and settings live only on your Mac. There are no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no servers — I have no way to see how or when you work.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the Deepflow macOS app ("Deepflow", "the app") and this website. Deepflow is made by an independent solo developer.
Data stored on your device
Deepflow records the focus data you create so it can show you your streaks and stats: completed timer and stopwatch sessions, the tags and goals you set, your streak and calendar history, and your app preferences. All of this is stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's own sandboxed container (and a shared container the Deepflow widget reads). It is never uploaded to any server, and the developer has no access to it.
What Deepflow does not do
- No tracking or analytics. There are no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no usage telemetry.
- No account. You don't sign up, log in, or provide an email to use the app.
- No data selling or sharing. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
- No network of its own. The app has no network capability beyond Apple's purchase system below.
Purchases (Deepflow Pro)
The timer and stopwatch are free. Deepflow Pro — an optional subscription or one-time lifetime unlock — is sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Deepflow never sees or stores your name, payment details, or Apple ID. On your device, the app receives only an anonymous entitlement status (whether Pro is currently active). Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you enable milestone notifications, they are generated on your Mac by macOS and are never routed through any external server. You can turn them off any time in Deepflow's settings or in System Settings.
Children's privacy
Deepflow is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your control over your data
Because everything lives on your Mac, you are always in control. Removing the app removes its stored focus data with it. You can also clear individual data from within the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
